LOMAS HALL IS A COMMUNITY FACILITY NESTLED IN THE HEART OF STANNINGTON, SITUATED NEXT DOOR TO THE BEAUTIFUL STANNINGTON CHRIST CHURCH, ONLY 6 MILES OUT OF SHEFFIELD.

The Bar

 Lomas Hall offers a fully equipped, licensed, stocked and staffed bar in the Knowle Room, the drinks prices are extremely competitive and its use is included in our hire rates.


 

Main Hall

This hall is a spacious 65 ft long and can accommodate up to 300 people seated (250 people with a bar), with disabled access. It includes a large stage and balcony area.  Tables and chairs are available and included in the hire.  Dimensions 19.5 metres x 10.5 metres 65ft x 35ft (excluding Stage).


STAGE

Within the main hall we have a large stage ideal for entertainers, bands, DJ’s, shows or presentations. The Green Room is used as a ‘back-stage’ room with direct stage access.


The Knowle Room

The Knwole Room

 

Adjacent to the Main Hall and with easy access through folding doors the Knowle Room, so called because it overlooks Stannington Park and towards Knowle Top, with a capacity for approximately 60 people and disabled access it lends itself to many differing functions with the modern kitchen facility at one end and the licensed bar at the other, it can be hired separately or with the Main Hall. Dimensions 13 metres x 6 metres 44ft x 20ft  (excluding bar)


The Kitchen

The kitchen is fitted with catering facilities including, cooker, fridge and water boiler. The use of the kitchen and it’s equipment are included in the hire. The kitchen hatch opens into the Knowle Room with access to the kitchen from the Main Hall, the Knowle Room and the Green Room.

We have an adequate car park available to all hirers of the hall; it has direct access to the rear doors of the hall.

 

About Lomas Hall

OPENED IN 1955 AND PRESENTED TO THE VILLAGE OF STANNINGTON IN TRUST BY MISS FLORA LOMAS. TODAY THE HALL IS RUN AS A CHARITABLE ORGANISATION AND IS MANAGED BY A VOLUNTARY COMMITTEE MADE UP OF LOCAL PEOPLE. FUNDS TO KEEP THE HALL RUNNING COME SOLELY FROM THE PEOPLE OF THE STANNINGTON COMMUNITY AND THE SUPPORTERS WHO MAKE USE OF THE HALL.
